By 1963, American actor Steve McQueen had achieved superstardom. This iconic photograph by John Dominis shows the ‘King of Cool’ at Hollywood studios, sitting in his 1957 Jaguar XKSS. Because its body was painted in British racing green, McQueen called his car the ‘Green Rat’.
