Named after the French novelist Honoré de Balzac, this is an elegant, mid Century style coffee table designed by Andrew Martin, made with fir wood and with a soft gilt frame and legs for added glamour. It expresses the chic style of Parisian life, but, as Balzac the writer reminds us, the gritty reality is just as significant. The design of this coffee table is as much about absence and space in between, as about the stylish exterior.
